Difficulty Finding Love Spread

I was bored tonight and kept thinking about how unsuccessful I've been with romantic relationships in the past. I haven't had much luck finding someone who is way into me as much as I would be into them, I keep running into men who basically just want to get in my pants. So I made a new tarot spread and tried it out tonight. Here's the spread and my reading :)

Think Positive!

I just enrolled in a local medical education center/voccational school this week. I'll be working on getting a certificate in Medical Insurance Billing/Office Administration. It will only take me 30 weeks (if the good Lord is willing) and I graduate September 7th.

I ran into a post on another website about someone's externship (however they don't go to the school I'm going to). I left a note on her post and asked what school she went to. She left me a note back and said that she went to blahblah and that the place I'm going to she heard nothing but bad stuff. But I am trying not to focus on it. I went to the school she attended and that school didn't work out for me, and I am hoping this school that I am attending is going to be great for me. My niece's girl scout troop leader may be one of my instructors so I feel confident that maybe she will be able to help me when she can when I attend. I was guided to not listen to negative stories and such about the school I am attending. So I am going to try and think positive. I will ask for help when I'm struggling. I will try and bond with my classmates so I may go to them for help as well. I am going to do something that I have not done since probably elementary school -- and that is putting my all in it and try.

I feel like I need to watch the movie The Other Sister. Juliette Lewis plays a woman with a mental disability and she enrolls in a voccational school after attending a school for disabled people. Anyways, she does well in the voccational school. The whole message is you can do whatever you set your mind to. Nothing can stop you. There will be challenges but they can be overcomed if you really push yourself and set your mind to your goal. You just gotta think positive.

In other news, I will be shutting down Samantha's Readings. I just don't have the money for a domain and a hosting service. I've also lost interest in reading for people. I don't feel comfortable reading for others, except for close friends and family. Tarot will just remain a hobby. If I feel the need to return to reading for others, I will let you know. I will still have this blog, and will write down my spiritual/metaphysical experiences and share tarot readings and spreads I make from time to time.

I also have started another blog called Relationsh*ts. It is a love/dating/romance blog. Me and two of my girl friends write in it. However, I am thinking about ending that blog because no one seems committed to write in it, we're not getting a lot of hits, and I don't know how much time I will have to write about love and stuff. Also, I am kind of taking a break from dating just so I can focus on school.

Manifesting in Cartoons

I just wanted to show you all this video from the cartoon JEM. Roxy, a member of the rival band The Mistfits, leaves The Misfits, and is singing about changing her life. She is manifesting it in a positive way. She ends up winning the lottery and foolishly spends her money. But still, if we believe in change, especially in changing ourselves, we can manifest what we desire most.

I put out to the universe on my OkCupid dating profile about what I desire in a man. I figured it's a good place to tell the universe what I desire. Although the universe only seems to give us what we need in a relationship, and not what we want. But it's worth a shot because we can also attract what we need in a relationship.

Push Comes to Shove

Ok, I've been feeling the urge to write. Or rather, I'm being told by some random guide that I need to write. What about? All things romance, love, and dating. I need to tell my story. But do I do it as a different person going threw the same things that I've been threw, or do I just talk about my love life as me?
I was thinking I could review dating websites as well, ones that people have never heard of. I would do known ones such as match.com and eHarmony, but I don't have the money or time to waste on those shitty sites. Although one of my friends did meet "a hook up" from match.com and my cousin met her husband on eHarmony.

I should do a tarot card reading on this, but I'm lazy. I'd rather have someone else read me. I kind of have a love/hate relationship with tarot right now. I missed it, but it feels like a chore when I have to do a reading. However, I love it when I find out something I said in the reading is right or a prediction comes to fruition.

I broke up with J and I never did make that trip out to Wisconsin like I was planning. I no longer believe in soul mates and twin flames. Soul mates as in the romantic kind. I also don't believe in long distant relationships. So for now on, I'm sticking with local men.

Ok, I'm rambling...I think I'll jot down my ideas on paper and head to bed. Night!

Heeding your own warning signs and more dreams!

So I broke up with J yesterday. A day before I was going to leave for Wisconsin to "meet him". Last week, he admitted to me that he was leading me on. He said he was confused about us because he had fallen in love with me. It was a complicated situation and I thought I was going to be happy. But it turned out I wasn't. I was constantly wondering if he was happy and if I was just forcing him to be with me. The relationship almost reminded me of my "friendship" with a classmate who I had a crush on back in the third grade. I have no idea if he was actually my friend, or if the teacher just made him be nice to me because I liked him.

I did a tarot reading for J on this relationship at the beginning, and the outcome was the 10 of Swords (which is not a good card). However, I put a positive spin on it and said there was a 50/50 chance of working out. I should have heeded the cards warning. This isn't the first time I didn't listen to my own reading either. It makes me wonder how many other readers and psychics out there heed their own warnings they get from their intuition or the cards. My grandmother who reads tarot cards, drew some cards about my trip this weekend and she said it wasn't going to be a good trip and was glad that I wasn't going.

In other news, Anthony is back in my life after dreaming of him for a couple of months now. We're just friends. I'm kind of glad he is back in my life because I can discuss this stuff with someone other than my grandmother. My dreams seem to be good indicators of who all I'll run into or hear from. However, I initated contact with Anthony in the first place (since we were kind of stalking each other on OkCupid lol).

I had a dream last night that I was in school and this company wanted to take people's hormones and look at them for some hormone disease. It was scary enough that I woke up and turned on my TV to just get rid of what I dreamed of out of my head. I watched some Wolverine and the X-Men and fell back to sleep.

And that lead me to another dream about Anthony and being in school again and prom was coming up. I tried asking Anthony to be my date for prom but he kept listening to this guy who made my life a living hell in the 8th grade and he said to Anthony that I was evil and to stay away from me.

I'm not sure what the dream means. Maybe I think of myself as evil. As for Anthony, well I had heard from him this morning. I asked him if he would like to go to a movie sometime and he said he would and would call me when he got some free time. Weird things like that always happen to me.

A Dream -- The Rapture & Fear

I had a dream last night. It was about the rapture. And for some odd reason, it looks like it was back in the 1800's in a small city/farming community. And I wasn't in it, it was a family -- a mother, father, daughter, and an aunt (who was an atheist). They were plagued by many of the recent deaths that were happening, the mother had recently lost a sister (who was Christian). The atheist aunt had purchased all kinds of farm animals and was not concerned by the rapture. All of a sudden, the mother and father float up with the sister who was wearing a pink suit. It was their daughter and the atheist aunt who were left behind. I then woke up.
I don't know if this was a past life dream or if this is something that it's going to come or if it's a fear in my subconscious. Out of those 3, I think number 3 is the safest to go with. But I have never dreamed about religion, other than upside down crosses and Satan.

Also, I don't know about you guys, but I have been feeling that the world is terrified. I feel like everyone is on edge, especially when it comes to the weather lately, here in the United States. What are we so afraid of? Is it terrorists? Is it that maybe the end is really near and we're getting closer to 2012? Is it just knowing that today could be your last day? I feel like this has to do with the tsunami in Japan and the massive tornados in Joplin, MO and down south of the United States. I don't believe the end is near, I believe that the world as we know it is going to go threw a huge change. And most of that change, we are seeing right now. Change is scary. But yet, this is probably for the better. I pray to God every night, thanking Him, and asking Him to give humanity a chance, not all humanity is bad or crazy....these are just tough times right now and I ask for God's strength for humanity.

We shouldn't enter the "new" world in fear, we should embrace it. We should keep on fighting for what we believe in and let go of old systems. It's as simple as this: "Faith, trust, and pixie dust". Although pixie dust may not sooth our fear, our belief in something higher and belief in good, will. Good always wins! If you don't believe that, then check out Batman or some other super hero comic.

Late Night Blogging

It is going on 1:13 AM and I'm not in bed yet. I thought I would do an update.
The world didn't end. It is now supposed to end October 21st. What is it with people and predicting the end of the world?

I've been busy with readings, which is great. I feel like I am supposed to be doing what I'm doing.

My BFF who I'll call Bina in here and I reconciled after a fight I got into when I was in the hospital. We both kept having dreams about making up and becoming friends again. I believe we settled our differences and "made up" on the dream plane/astral plane. My ex-boyfriend/first love who we'll call X is somewhat responsibile for us being back friends. We both commented on a picture he took and I decided to break down and message her. And then we ended up talking on Yahoo messenger for 3 hours.

My go-to psychic, Allie, told me our karma is clearly not finished since I kept having dreams about her, and her advice also played a big part in the reconciliation. I am blessed to know Allie and call her a friend as well as my personal psychic. She has this great project that needs to be funded. It is all about Atlantis and this is one thing that she is meant to do, so if you could offer your monetary support, it's greatly appreciated!

I still have one person left on my reconciliation list, but I'm a little afraid right now. I figure when the time is right, the reconciliation will happen.

Today, I did my first in person reading in forever (or well since 2010). It was fun. The thing is, I tend to just get to the point and not drag out everything. I mean, I see what I see. I try not to drag on and on and on about the card's actual meaning or detail. I have a hard time figuring out how much I would charge for like an hour reading or a half hour reading. I wonder because what if I go "over" the hour? Or "under" the hour? What could I do?
I'm still trying to figure out what I could call this blog. It's nothing tarot anymore. It's not that Tarot isn't my passion (because it is!), but I'm writing about everything in here.

I was also thinking that maybe I could do a tag-team reading with another reader and offer that up as an option. It could be with my grandmother, but it'd be hard because I'd have to go to her house or have her come here. It could be fun as an option later down the road.

I got two new tarot decks that my Aunt Sharon and Uncle Jimmy got me at an auction. One of the decks is "The Mythic Tarot". My grandmother has this deck as well. I'm supposed to inherit that deck when she dies. So I will have two sets of that deck and two Tarot of a Moon Garden decks.

Lovelife: My love life is doing well. J and I are "meeting" next month. Or well, getting together, since we just did kind of meet (does Skype count?). I think me and J have a bit of a telepathic connection going on. We don't take it too serious though, we joke about it. I read his tarot cards a month ago, and I guess he changed his whole mind about tarot cards and psychics. He used to think they were a crock of shit, but after his reading with me he thinks there's something to it. And this reading was when we were fairly new in the relationship and didn't know too many "heavy" things about each other. I have no intention of changing other people's minds. If anything, I'm up for a good laugh with the rest of them.

Well that is about all I wanted to write about! Hopefully I'll become a better blogger!

More dreams, Friday the 13th, Free Tarot Readings, OH MY!

Well Mercury Retrograde has come and gone! WheW! PRAISE JEBUS! haha (I got that from The Simpson's movie when Homer walks into church). My new relationship survived Mercury Retrograde! I went from barely talking about him, to talking about every little thing that reminds me of him such as: "Oh, did you know J's favorite food is blankety blank?" and "Oh J's state for gas is $3.96" blah blah blah. It's like anyone that I talk to about him, want me to SHUT UP! lol. We have plans to meet in September. Or well, get together since we have kind of met already (doesn't Skype count for something??).

In the mean time, my dreams have been weird. I dreamed once about Anthony and I talking again and he became a butthead in the dream and left me broken hearted. I woke up and find a friend request from a different ex, who we will call T. But basically T just wanted to apologize and wanted me to forgive him and probably see what I've been up to. He deleted me off his friend's list yesterday. And that's fine with me, I'd rather not be friends with ex's. I'd rather just leave them in the past. Although, since 2010, a lot of my ex's have been popping up and I friended a couple on Facebook. And one ex, my very first love, is/was (it's complicated right now) my best friend.

I ran into my ex-fiance last Thursday. I had dreams for awhile about us reconnecting (not rekindling the relationship). I told Allie during my reading today from her that I've been pretty insync with the universe lately. I've also been dreaming about J a lot. I think we must connect easily on the dream plane/level. It seems like every night he's always in my dreams. I don't know if I'm in his, let alone if he even remembers his dreams, but it's interesting.

Today is/was Friday the 13th. I'm not a superstitious person, despite my beliefs lol. I don't see the number 13 good or bad. It's just a number to me. My dad fell off a ladder and broke his ankle on Friday the 13th one year -- matter of fact it was before he was turning 50! And his 50's have been rough on him! I sometimes think I jinxed him because I got him some over the hill stuff (a cane and some "medicine" candy) but I doubt that had any real power. Despite it happening on Friday the 13th, I don't consider it a good or bad day. If you believe in something with all your heart and energy, your energy empowers that belief. And really, that goes for anything. If you believe you're a loser, you will be a loser. If you believe you're a winner, than by golly you're gosh darn a winner! :-) That's the trick with manifesting. You have to BELIEVE!

Has anyone heard that Jesus Christ is coming back on May 21? According to this website, Jesus will come back and begin the rapture, meanwhile the Earth will be destroyed on October 21, 2011. I'd like to know something: why do we humans care about predicting the end of the world?

Some Dream Symbols and Other News

Most of my friends (myself included) have been having some strange dreams. I thought I would post some meanings that I have researched from the book 20,000 Dreams -- Discover the real meaning of your dream life; by Mary Summer Rain. This is an awesome book that seems to have a meaning for every little symbol there could be in dreams.
Twins -- represent duality or polarity of life. (Hmmm very interesting....)
Miscarriage -- denotes the shedding of an erroneous spiritual belief.
Worms --- indicates life aspects that enrich one's foundations. May also mean interference.
Frogs -- represents some kind of impaired mental or physical condition. (I think I liked Lauralyn's view on the frog...I'll have to ask Lauralyn if I may post her article about the frog in here).

I haven't really felt like blogging lately. Mostly because I have nothing to say. I'm in a relationship, but not with the man I previously mentioned. No, this man lives way out in Wisconsin. It's a very new relationship, barely a week old. We've had our spats because of Mercury Retrograde and he's a Leo (I tend to but heads with Leo men). I hope that maybe we can beat the Mercury Retrograde odd of the relationship working out. It's quite funny, I haven't really told anyone about my new relationship or talked much about it. I think it's because of the distance. I will refer to my new beau as J.

Going back to the frog thing in dreams, it could also be a symbol from my grandma Anderson. She loved frogs and collected figurines of frogs when she was alive. As for twins, I find it funny that I dreamed about my friend having twins with his current wife, when I read in waking life on Facebook just a little while ago that his ex-girlfriend that I'm friends with, is having twins.

Love & Mercury Retrograde and Other Musings

Well the angels or whomever is responsible for matchmaking decided that Mercury Retrograde is an *excellent* time for romance for me. I met a pretty awesome guy last night and he would like to go out on a date sometime this week or next. The problem? Mercury Retrograde isn't exactly a great time to do first dates and begin new relationships. I speak from experience, my friends.

I once started a relationship back in 2010 during a Mercury retrograde. The relationship lasted for only two weeks and ended, I think, when Mercury wasn't retrograde anymore. This guy seems like a keeper, so I am tempted to tell him about my "superstition" about Mercury Retrograde and scheduling for the date to be sometime after April 23rd (when Mercury finally goes straight for awhile). But will he laugh at me? He did, however, believe that we were probably together in former lives because he said he felt like he's known me his whole life and I seemed familiar to him. Needless to say, in this lifetime, we have never met until last night.

So I haven't exactly done the tarotscope in like a month. And I haven't really wrote much about tarot in this blog since I started. So I'm thinking of re-naming this blog. Any suggestions?

I'm thinking about calling it "Samantha's Metaphysical Musings Part II" since my old blog was called "Samantha's Metaphysical Musings. But I don't know, I really don't like the part two part.

Also, I'm re-thinking about tarot reading and fairy reading. Although I got very good feedback on the fairy readings, I'm not so sure if I'm meant to do tarot readings and fairy readings. Whenever I get a client, I never hear back from them. I don't know if it's because I suck or if I'm too good or what. So I'm just kind of wondering about that. I found an opportunity to do a psychic fair in Birch Run, but I'm not so sure if this is exactly my calling. And I'd rather not shell out big bucks if I'm just a sucky reader, because quite frankly, I don't want anyone's money/support if I'm a sucky reader. You know what I'm saying? I guess what is important though is what I think of myself as a reader. I've given myself some pretty accurate readings and usually I'm grateful for the surprise. But also, readers can't accurately read themselves or predict their own future....at least that's what I've heard.

Who knows....I'll keep plugging along on this blog though because I like being able to write about my metaphysical/spiritual experiences and such.

Oh by the way, I'm addicted to this website called StopSylvia.com -- it's all about debunking famous psychic Sylvia Browne. I've followed it for about 2 years, and then Robert Lancaster (the man who owns the website) had health problems and the site went un updated until last year and I was glad to see it back online this year. I'm not going to voice my opinion on Sylvia Browne because this blog is not meant for that. I just find it very interesting.

Healing with the Angels reading

I was playing around with Doreen Virtue's "Healing with the Angels" oracle deck ipod application today. I did a past, present, and future reading which seems surprisingly accurate. I thought I would share it with you all.

If it is, I'm just not seeing it because I'm probably not meant to see it. Who knows. But I thought this was an interesting reading. I normally don't like the card app because I'd rather use the deck in reality (but I gave away this deck to the Goodwill). I like validations.

Last night I had a very lonely night. I was pondering about a man I had met recently and he claimed to have been falling for me. However, I haven't heard from in 2 days. And this is the second time this month that someone has fallen for me and yet either changed their mind about me or just aren't showing it. So I tearfully cried to my guides and the angels last night, asking why am I attracting these men?
"Welcome to loveline with the angels! Our first caller tonight is Samantha! A single 26 year old woman in Mid-Michigan who didn't believe she could talk to angels", I heard.
"Now, Samantha, what is your question again? So we can all hear?" they ask.
"I just want to know why I keep attracting men who say they are into me, and then they change their mind or they end up dropping off the face of the Earth." I said.

"The reason you keep attracting these men is because you have a very open heart chakra. At first, they are drawn to your heart. And then once they start to feel their heart chakra open, they get scared and decide it's best to walk away. Also, we did warn you about this one. We said RUN! But nooo, you didn't listen."
"Well I really though he was genuine!"
"Samantha, you do not live in a romance novel. People simply don't fall in love at first sight (or in your case, first text) anymore. M may make a good friend, but he is not destined to be your lover at this point in time."
"I'm so tired of being alone...I'm tired of getting on facebook to see my high school friend S brag about how wonderful her boyfriend is and reading their conversations on the status messages. "Hmm, if I posted it on Facebook I'd be the laughing stock."
"Well ok, don't post it on Facebook. What we are trying to say is be grateful for the new love that you will be receiving. Pretend that it already happened. Instead of concentrating on being single, make yourself feel like you are in a relationship. And not just any relationship, but a successful, loving, soul mate, heavenly connection type of relationship".
"This sounds like a Doreen Virtue book..."
"Well......she does have a point." they smirk.
"Once you feel it in your heart, you will attract that someone who you've been manifesting for about 3 years. The one you describe in your long list."
"What about M?"
"M is going to come around, but I wouldn't hold your breath on him. He does genuinly like you, it's just the whole distance thing and he is also afraid of getting hurt."

And with that I broke the connection and fell asleep. And I have no idea who I was conversing with in my head, it could have been an angel or a spirit guide, it could have been just myself. Who knows. Either way, I guess it's time for me to put on my Facebook "I am grateful for this divine relationship". Well, maybe I won't....I'm skeptical. But it's probably what I need to do.

My Angel Therapy Session with Lauralyn, Working with Fairies, FREE READING

Today I had my yearly reading/session with Lauralyn. It was great as usual. We focused in on my grandma Anderson who passed away at the end of November last year. I had tears in my eyes when Lauralyn told me my grandma said that she is with me. My grandma wanted me to pass onto my mother that she needs to get ahold of my great aunt Marie and spend some time with her. She also said my grandma was reunited with my grandpa Anderson and they were very happy being reunited. She's been doing all sorts of puzzles, word searches, and dancing as well as visiting everyone that she missed that are on the other side/Heaven. I will be seeing my grandma a lot in my dreams with my grandpa Anderson (who already visits me in the dream time a lot) in the future. My cat Friske also made an appearance with my grandma, which is quite funny because my cat LOVED my grandma Anderson. Whenever my grandma Anderson would come over, Friske would be there to greet her and sit with her and let her pet her. Friske just wanted to acknowledge her presence, nothing else. I miss that cat so much. At least I know she's with my grandma and grandpa Anderson being taken care of :)

The next thing we talked about in our session was Anthony and romance. She said that Anthony will make an appearance and will want to be friends. As for romance, I can expect to meet a great guy sometime between my birthday and the holidays/around fall. She also believes I could be a love and relationship expert because of my experience. So I should put that on my website as a focus as well. She sees me working with bridal parties like doing their bachelorette parties and reading the bride and the brides maids, doing sessions on love and romance.

We then talked about my tarot card business and the angels told her that I need to find a deck with a higher vibration. She says I have a positive, cheery outlook I need something with that frequency. If I could, I could make tarot more positive and friendlier than what it is now (neutral, doom or gloomy sounding etc.) and also the fairies would like to work with me. She said the fairies are very drawn to me. So I should also do fairy readings. The angels confirmed that I am supposed to do readings as well as write. We also talked about this dream I had about teaching tarot (which I'll talk about some other time), and she believes that I will teach people how to use their intuition with tarot cards, instead of just by going by book meanings.

So all in all, it was a great session. I feel calm and at peace (which I think is the goal or one of the goals of Angel Therapy). Lauralyn is expensive, but she is a treat! She is a very gifted medium (as well as writer, you guys should check out her e-zine and blog The LOVEolution Girl Meets South).

So, since I am supposed to be working with fairies, would anyone be interested in a fairy reading? A Dream

Last night I had a dream that I was at my own wedding. However, it was very informal, except for me, wearing a white gown and veil. And there was no groom. I was a little upset about getting married to myself. I wondered where my groom was and the vows was a poem that included the groom. It wasn't all about me. Let alone, I have no idea who was the groom, he's a mystery. I remember the priest announcing I was married and I looked down at my wedding ring. I then thought to myself, if I could get a divorce because I didn't want to be married alone. I then went looking around for my groom and I proceeded to go into another dream, that I don't remember. I remembered it this morning, but this dream overpowered it I think. According to dreammoods.com, this is what a wedding means:

Doesn't say anything about marrying yourself / being stand up at your wedding. Perhaps marrying myself shows my contentment to loving myself. The divorce thought in the dream, I think means I don't want to be alone. I like me, but I don't want to be alone. I want to share my life with someone. I don't really know if I was stood up, but I must have been.

I really like dreams. They are a gateway to your inner self and sometimes they can predict the future accurately. And not to mention dream visits, which I do like. I believe we have a way of visiting people who are on the otherside and alive as well. Although, I don't think I visit anyone, everyone visits me.

Anyways, I just wanted to write about my dream. I would have wrote about my other dream if I remembered it like I did this morning. Have a great weekend, everyone. =)

So I'm sorry I didn't do the tarotscope for the second time this week. I was attempting to do it Monday night, but I got distracted and just didn't feel like doing it afterwards. I promise I will do the tarotscope next week! Also, I've been thinking about doing a monthly forecast for each of the signs at the beginning of the month. What do you guys think of that?

In other news, the astrology study is good. I'm skipping over the signs because I pretty much know the signs. I'm ready to learn how to draw an astrology chart. I ordered a Doreen Virtue book "Angel Therapy Handbook". I'm going to read it and review it. I think I am also going to review Mary K. Greer 's(the tarot queen) "21 Ways to Read a Tarot Card" (which is an awesome book so far). I still gotta call my grandma and get my tarot reading from her. I think I will call her tomorrow and see about coming over on Saturday.

Death Days, The Magician, Astrology

So I am relaxing on this Saturday afternoon in my pajamas. I took a nap early this morning and had a dream about my Grandpa A. coming back to life. However, he wasn't the same when he came back to life, he was quite...weird. I'd rather not get into it. But it made me miss him (and he died back when I was 12 in 1996). So I was laying in my bed, pondering about life and death. One question always pops up when I think about life after death: do they celebrate death days as birthdays there from when they go home? Do they celebrate it as returning home to the Lord? And do they still celebrate birthdays or is that an Earthly tradition? That is something I'd like to ask one of my medium friends. My intuition kind of gnawed at me and told me they do celebrate the day a person comes home. And it's one big party since they celebrate every day -- to welcome those who are returning home and to celebrate those who have returned for awhile. I guess it's like one big family reunion. And they don't call it "death days", instead they just call it "Homecoming". And since there is no such thing as time and space in Heaven or the other side, it's not a specific day, because in the end, everyone returns to the same divine light.

That was very random, I answered a question with my own intuition and felt comfortable about it. So maybe I don't need to ask one of my medium friends lol. I've been told by other psychics I could be a very powerful medium, but I just simply wish not to go down that path. I like dream visits with my family members (and there have been a couple of celebrities that have came to me in dreams so I enjoy those as well) and I don't think I would want random dead people showing up whenever, wherever.

Today, we investigate The Magician card of the major arcarna of tarot. It will be in similar format of The Fool entry. Sadly, I can't explain why I chose certain things because I wrote this over a year ago before I went into the hospital. But as we continue to go down the list, since I didn't do all the cards yet, I will explain why I felt certain things. In the meantime, here is The Magician (and remember, it may be inaccurate, but this is how I intuitively pick up a card):

You know I should get my grandma Karen to become a guest blogger since she knows a lot more about tarot than I do. And we are supposed to be doing something with tarot together anyway. I thought that maybe it was to go into business together and be a tarot reading team, but I also kind of think it may be to teach tarot. I had this thought last February but I need to visit my grandma and talk it over with her. I'm due for a reading by her too.

I think I am going to try and read the book "The Only Astrology Book You'll Ever Need" by Joanna Martine Woolfolk Ever since my days of working with Maria Shaw, I've been fascinated by Astrology. Maria made it sound so simple. And it's not an easy thing to learn. But still, I'm quite interested. I purchased this book about 3 years ago. I played around with the CD it came with, but didn't actually read/study the book. I think astrology would be a nice personal hobby. I don't think I could ever be an astrologer lol. Oh, and I read on my facebook from tarot.com that there might be a new planet in our solar system. I wonder how that will affect astrology? Astrologers still work with Pluto (I think it's stupid they say Pluto is not a planet, my opinion -- I grew up learning Pluto IS a planet damn it!), so where would this new planet fit? Here is the article if you are interested. Note that scientists are still skeptical about this planet even existing.

You know what's funny about 2011 so far? Everything is changing. Even in astrology, changes are trying to be made. And being a Virgo, I'm not sure if I really like this change. With all the revolutions going on, the whole concept of 2012 just being a drastic change in humanity is making sense.

No Tarotscope This Week, New Person Spread

There will be no Tarotscope this week. I've been kind of depressed for the last two days. I'm depressed because I'm disappointed in myself. I was going to go back to school to become a Medical Administrative Assistant. But I went threw what programs I would have to go through and a lot of them expect you to obtain a C or better grade. And I'm just not sure I can handle that pressure. I could just change my major, but I don't know to what. I would rather change it to a certificate, but the school would penalize me for dropping down to a certificate from an associate's degree. And also, according to my re-admissions counselor, a certificate isn't as marketable as an associate's degree is job wise. But my plan is to slowly work into a degree. Get a certificate so I could get just a little job that would help with college expenses, then go to school part time to get a degree. But I guess my plan isn't good enough. I also didn't like that it would take me about 5 years to get my degree because I would be taking at least 2 classes at a time since I would be going part time. I need something in the NOW or next two years. I could always take my Samantha's Readings and go into a legit business (right now it's something I do on the side and don't make any money off of), but that's too risky. There isn't really any clientel in Michigan, because people in Michigan just don't believe in it. My friend David, who wants to be a holistic health practicioner, is going to move to California just because the clientel isn't here. I don't really have any online clientel. When I post that I'm willing to do free readings, everyone jumps at the opportunity, but when I say I gotta charge, it disappears. And when I was doing psychic fairs, I broke even (and that's better than nothing). However, I didn't gain steady clientel. But like I said on my website, if I'm meant to do readings full time, it'll happen. For now, it's a hobby that I semi-get paid to do.

I'm looking threw my notebooks and postings on Aeclectic Tarot to see if there is a tarot spread that I would like to share. Ok I found one :o)

This spread is good for new people that come into your life. I made this when I first met my ex-fiance and I wondered what his purpose was And his reason was to be a romantic rival for someone else who was winning my affections. Ended up not going with that guy and chose the ex-fiance. However, I was new at timing so I didn't do the timing correctly. Aeclectic Tarot Forum has a forum about timing in tarot. Timing is heavily debated in the tarot community. When I do timing in a reading, I usually go with what number pops up in my head and also by the seasons --- Swords is fall, Pentalces is winter, Cups is spring, Wands is summer. Swords and Wands seasons are also heavily debated, some say they are vice versa.

Out of curiosity, readers, what kind of spreads would you like to see? Romance themed, career, family oriented, spiritual? Maybe I can be inspired and create new spreads for you to use. :-)

Back to Basics, Skepticism, New Book

Today I got my books and cards (tarot and oracle cards) back. I had 3 boxes full of books and papers. As I unpacked my books, I went threw books and cards that I didn't like and donated them to Goodwill. I was thinking about selling them on Amazon.com, but I can't afford the shipping and I had a bad experience with selling stuff online in the past. I got an idea though in my head -- what if there was a metaphysical used book store? Or a metaphysical pawn shop? So people can get paid for metaphysical stuff they want to get rid of.

I have a few things that I put up in the attic since I have no place for them in my room. A lot of it was crystals. I got rid of my Crystal bible because I really don't believe in crystals. They never worked for me. In a way, I think crystals are like courage tools to give to children who need courage. You know what I'm talking about? The child comes to mother and complains they aren't brave enough and the mom gives them "a magic" toy to boost their confidence and at the end the kid discovers it was just them and not the toy that made them braver? I have discovered that no matter how many amethyst stones you own, you are not going to become more psychic over night or how many sodalite stones you wear, it won't help you shed the pounds you want to lose. I know my hand is going to get spanked for talking like that because I know a lot of my colleagues find the power in crystals -- and there's nothing wrong with that -- it's just crystals did nothing for me.

I got a new book on Valentine's Day. It was The Angel Code by Chantel Lysette. It was a workbook mostly to help improve your clairvoyance, clairsentience, clairaudience, claircognizance, and intuition so you can have better communication with the angels. I'm skeptical...I no longer see the "awe" in these abilities. I did one exercise in the book and that was to fine tune my clairaudience skill, the rest I was kind of skeptical about since I had a disappointing exercise result and I think it was just my imagination playing with me, not actual hearing. And if I was hearing anything, I think I would have ended up in the hospital again. One part of the exercise I liked was having a Q & A session with the angel(s). For background purposes, I tuned into 3 angels instead of just one. You also have to read Chantel Lysette's book Azrael Loves Chocolate, Michael's a Jock (WHICH IS A REALLY GOOD READ!) and The Angel Code to find out why I asked such "modern" questions. This is how my Q & A session went:

It was fun to let my imagination play. Whether I really "heard" angels or it was all in my mind, I'll never know. I can easily picture what the angels look like in my mind's eye. Iophiel has beautiful long blond hair, she's a tiny thing, and wears a lot of flowing dresses. Michael is very toned, muscular, long blond/sandy blond hair, and Azrael is the hunk...he's tall about 6'8", short dark brown hair, brown eyes, tan, white smile, wears a trench coat, has big grey feathery wings. I liked in the book that Chantel says that the angels will appear differently to many people. It also wasn't her way or the highway. She encourages you to have fun. I think I am a little more closer and comfortable talking to angels now, but I'm not going to write about them unless I have a significant experience with them. If I wrote about them, I'd probably sound looney. I could write about how flirty Azrael is but I'm not going to because, once again, it sounds ludacris.

New Animal Totem, Dreams, The Break Up

So this entry has NOTHING to do with tarot. Instead, this entry is the first metaphysical musing that will probably be written a lot in this. If you wish to read, then I welcome you to my metaphysical journey. If you're reading me purely for tarot, I'm sorry, but a real tarot blog entry will be coming soon!

Anyway, my dreams have had two different animal visitors. The first one was a frog. The frog leaped out at me and I was afraid of it that I woke myself up in the middle of the night. That's about all I can remember about the frog. Last night, an elephant came and visited me in dream land. Elephants are one of my favorite animals and I rarely dream about them. I am wondering if somehow I am tapping into my animal totem? However, if they are meant to be symbols in dreams, according to dreammoods.com, this is what a frog and an elephant meant:

Frog:

To see a frog in your dream, represents a potential for change or the unexpected. The frog may be a prince in disguise and thus, signify transformation, renewal or rebirth. Alternatively, the frog symbolizes uncleanness or fertility.

To see frogs leaping in your dream, indicate your lack of commitment. You have a tendency to jump from one thing to another. Alternatively, it may suggest that you are taking major steps toward some goal. It parallels your progress.

To hear the sounds of a frog in your dream, indicates that you have not accomplished what you wanted.

Elephant:

To see an elephant in your dream, indicates that you need to be more patient or more understanding of others. Or perhaps there is a memory that you are holding on to for too long. You need to let go of the past. The elephant is also a symbol of power, strength, faithfulness and intellect. Alternatively, the elephant's introverted personality may be a reflection of your own personality. In particular, if you see a white elephant, then it symbolizes royalty.

Now as for the animal totem this is all I could find:

Elephant- The sense of smell is very important and is a symbol for the importance of learning discernment. Also, elephants show great affection and loyalty. Those with this power animal will be given the opportunity to establish powerful family ties by caring for the young, the elderly and the sick.
Frog - The frog will teach you how to jump from materialism to spirituality.

Ironically, Anthony was in the dream too with the elephant. He is now an ex-boyfriend. I broke up with him yesterday. I'm not going to give the reason since a lot of you who read my blog are facebook friends. The past two nights I've been dreaming about Anthony. We talk in the dream but I never remember what they are about and what we talk about. I do remember it would be on the phone and I remember how when he says "bye" on the phone I'm bummed that he doesn't tell me he loved me (in real life, I'm never bummed out over the fact he doesn't tell me he loves me). When I wake up, I feel neutral. Neither sad or happy. I think Anthony's purpose in my life was to get the old me back. And once someone has served their purpose, they leave. There's this quote that speaks what I'm talking about:

"God doesn't give you the people you want. He gives you the people you need; to help you, to hurt you, love you, and to leave you to make you into the person you are meant to be."

The First Date tarot spread

I created the below tarot spread a couple of years ago. I was nervous about a first date and wanted to see how well it would go and if this would lead to a long-term relationship. I posted this on Aeclectic Tarot and a lot of the users liked it. My First Entry! The Fool meanings and impressions, What the heck Happened to Me?!

This is my first entry! YAY! I am glad to be back. However, I am writing stuff that I wrote down in a notebook last year while I was on hiatus. Before I go into what happened to me, let's start off with the Major Arcarna --- The Fool! These are just some intuitive and actual meanings of the card. By intuitive I mean what I see in the card that maybe other Tarot readers will not see/understand/or agree with. Each tarot deck is different with different interpretations of each card. You can read cards by just looking at the colors and symbols in the card. I have also included some astrological associations, although those may or may not be accurate. I don't think I can explain why I chose certain signs since I wrote this over a year ago. I am hoping to do more cards along the way like this, along with free readings, free e-books, tarotscopes, book reviews, and of course take you along my metaphysical journey. I will also include whether a card is a masculine or a feminine sign, and again, maybe most Tarot readers will or will not agree with my findings. Are you ready? Ok...here we go :)

The Fool - New beginnings, infatuation, foolish decisions, animal lover, new pet(s), animal concerns, impulsiveness. Creative endeavors, new travels. Taking things too fast. In over your head. Take time out to think. New crush. Foolish business ventures. Money in-money out. Spending money on wants instead of needs. Masculine. Astrological associations: Aries, Gemini, Virgo, Pisces.

I think every tarot reader comes up with their own definitions of each card other than traditional meanings. That's what we call using our intuition. Any person can read tarot cards with little to no psychic ability because they all have traditional meanings which you can find in any book of tarot reading. The reader makes the tarot card reading unique, that is how you are not getting a book reading.

Now as into what happened to me. I had a mental breakdown. I was fooling around with a certain metaphysical tool that I shouldn't have. I also quit taking my depression medicine and was running on 3-4 hour sleep. The funny thing is the letter I had written on my website was dated March 6, 2010. I went into the hospital for psychological evaluation on March 10. I don't think it was a coincidence or planned that I step down. I must have somehow known I needed to break because I was taking the metaphysical world way too seriously. Everyone around me was telling me, but I didn't listen. Along the way, I broke ties to several people who I thought were friends. And maybe they were, and maybe they weren't, but it had to be done. Those who stood by me while I was rebuilding the old me, they know who they are.

I don't think I would be here today if it weren't for my current boyfriend Anthony. He is a tarot card reader (though not professionally) and he got me back into wanting to read again and study tarot again. I did miss tarot reading while I was rebuilding myself, but I wasn't sure if I would return. Meeting Anthony was fate. Before I dated him and met him, I was dreaming about getting my tarot cards back. Fast forward to New Years Day, I go to the store where I purchased them and ask the lady if they had the "Tarot of a Moon Garden" tarot deck and they did...here's the funny part...they had ONE deck left! I knew it was fate. That night, I did 4 readings and found that I still got it. The song "Now That You Got It" by Gwen Stefani was playing in my head in between readings.

Another funny "sign"...Google called me asking if I could take on more clients because they would like to feature me on their page of psychics. But I turned it down because I am just now starting to get this ball rolling again and I need to ease into this. I also thought I would have to pay and didn't believe it was a legit call from Google because I have never heard of these "pages" (and I'm pretty computer savvy).

And my last "sign", my go-to psychic told me I should be back and she was extremely happy that I was thinking about coming back. She believed that I had a gift and needed to share it with the world.
